Become a key employee in a new business offering for a Value Added Service. Will consider relocation for the right candidate with MRO broadline distributor experience.


  • Provides on-site inventory management services in the greater NY/NJ area at customer specified locations. Manage customer's inventory through utilization of proprietary Inventory Solutions program.
  • Receives direction and support from the Inventory Solutions Department Manager who provides technical support and overall program direction.
  • Sets up and installs inventory management systems at assigned customer locations, and provides trouble-shooting and full customer training to operate the system.
  • Depending on customer account, inventory may be held in a designated stock room, an integrated vending machine or locker, or other solution.
  • Manages inventory from receipt through the lifecycle of each item.
  • Proactively seeks out and interacts with designated, key customer contacts including, but not limited to purchasing and end-users. Is able to handle and resolve customer concerns and understands when to appropriately escalate issues internally.
  • Continually strives to be the onsite inventory expert.
  • Demonstrates a high level of accuracy while performing inventory transactions and applies feedback to improve performance. Monitors own work and uses available system reporting to ensure quality.
  • Challenges existing processes and identifies opportunities for continuous improvement to improve efficiency and remove waste. Focuses on customer value.
  • Effectively communicates inventory trends and sales opportunities.
  • This role will require a great deal of cross-functional coordination and partnership. On any given day, you may be expected to communicate with executive leadership, account managers, and/ or customers directly.


  • Bachelor's degree preferred plus 3 + years of related industrial experience, preferably for an MRO broadline distributor.
  • Experience working with Customer Managed Services (CMI) and Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) and managing inventory transactions between locations.
  • Previous experience setting up and installing inventory mgmt systems at customer locations, and providing trouble-shooting and full customer training.
  • Due to the proximity of to our NY corporate office, the highest levels of business acumen and professional standards are required.
