Job Objective:

The Sales Operations Manager is responsible for analyzing, assigning and optimizing our leads and accounts.  The ultimate goal of this position is to streamline and optimize our customer coverage strategy in order to focus and optimize the salesforce.  This position requires in depth knowledge of assignment mechanics, rules of engagement and the data structure at Global. 

Responsibilities

  • Review all assigned packages and analyze for fit, potential and current penetration
  • Responsible for territory strategy in conjunction with Sales Leadership.
  • Develop and coordinate account packages and assignments with Sales Leadership.
  • Responsible for lead generation, profiling, qualification and dissemination of accounts.
  • Identify (with Database Marketing) segmentation and targeting opportunities and appropriate sales reps for these targeted segments in order to provide additional value to our customers.               
  • Responsible for all account assignment, approvals, and integrity of assignment process.
  • Responsible for recommending and coordinating any improvements to our CRM system regarding package assignment
  • Develop, enhance and coordinate account clean-up process and account assignment process

Qualifications:

  • Outstanding communication skills and tact.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent PC skills required in MS Word, Excel, Explorer and Outlook. Pivot table experience preferred.
  • Ability to think out of the box and improve processes
  • Ability to work effectively in a matrixed environment with diverse audiences, management levels, cultures, and personalities
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, work in a fast-paced environment, attention to detail, handle multiple tasks and work under time constraints is required.
  • Strong drive and will to succeed
  • Flexibility and ability to adjust on the fly to new demands; knows when to demonstrate a sense of urgency
  • Industrial supplies and/or B2B sales experience a plus
